Here are some commons questions folks typically have about the process of making an audiobook with me.
Question:
How much does it cost to produce an audiobook?
Answer:
Making an audiobook is labor intensive. Industry standard for audiobook production is around 4-6 hours of work per finished hour of audio (often more). Because of that, rates are around $250 per finished hour of audio (around 10,000 words per finished hour), OR if you plan to share half of your royalties from the sale of the audiobook with the narrator/producer, the rate is $100 per finished hour plus royalty share.

I've never done an audiobook before. Where do I start?
Answer:
Once you sign up with me, I will walk you through every step of the process from start to finish. And, after your project is completed and up on Audible, I will make you a promotional video for you to use on all of your social media free of charge!
Question:
How long does it usually take for an audiobook to be produced?
Answer:
It depends on the length of the book, my schedule and any unforeseen circumstances (such as illness) , but I generally complete an hour of audio per work day. After the book is complete and you have listened and approved what you hear, the book will be sent off to production - which typically takes around 10 days to be cleared and up on Audible.
